  Eltham Palace. Also nestled in South London, Eltham Palace is a grand art deco building with lots of history. It has been used for many scenes of The Crown including the backdrop for travel-themed locations including: Bermuda Government House, the HMS Queen Mary, and the Queen's Quarters of the Royal Yacht.   My love affair with Eltham Palace began five years ago on a very hot Easter Saturday when I happened to have a day with nothing planned. Wishing to be somewhere special on such a glorious day I looked in my English Heritage membership book and choose Eltham Palace as a good place to visit as it was nearby. It was love at first sight.

  This is the story of two palaces, a late medieval one and a modern one built in the s and s. Eltham was built by Edward iv and the magnificent great hall takes your breath away.
