Macromolecules Containing Metal and Metal-Like Elements - Volume 2: Organoiron Polymers نویسنده: Alaa S. Abd-El-Aziz, Charles E. Carraher Jr., Charles U. Pittman Jr., John E. Sheats, Martel Zeldin. Organic azo dye polymers are prepared from the ring-opening metathesis polymerization of azo dye functionalized norbornenes. These polymers are examined for their trans-cis¬ isomeration, UV-visible properties, and their acid sensing capabilities. The organoiron polymers are prepared through polycondensation reactions between organoiron azo dye complexes and O-, S-, or N-containing.

The cationic cyclopentadienyliron‐coordinated polymers underwent reversible reduction processes from eighteen‐electron to nineteen‐electron species. By incorporating neutral ferrocene moieties into the backbones of polyethers and thioethers, it was also possible to electrochemically oxidize these polymers.

Although many of the macromolecules may be suitable for multiple sections, this review is organized according to the structure of the macromolecules, including metal moieties embedded within the polymer backbone (polymetallaynes, metallocene-based systems), polymers containing metalmetal bonds, coordination polymers, polymers containing metals Cited by:   Following from Part I (this journal, 18(1), ), dedicated to main group metal containing polymers obtained by ROMP, the application of the same progressive concept to prepare polymers having this time transition metals in the side- or main-chain is here critically overviewed.

These TMC polymers were produced through ROMP reactions promoted by Schrock’s Mo-carbene or the Grubbs’. About this Item: Springer-Verlag New York Inc., United States, Paperback.

Condition: New. Language: English. Brand new Book. Research on metal-containing polymers began in the early 's when several workers found that vinyl ferrocene and other vinylic transition metal u -com plexes would undergo polymerization under the same conditions as conventional organic monomers to form high.

1. Introduction. Metal-containing polymers, also named organometallic polymers or metallopolymers, are one of major classes of polymers discovered in the 20 th century.

1–3 They stand out independent because of a unique combination of organic and inorganic components in one macromolecular system. 4–12 Thus a full benefit could be achieved by simultaneously entertaining Cited by:   Macromolecules Containing Metal and Metal-Like Elements, Volume 2: Organoiron Polymers Alaa S.

Abd-El-Aziz, Charles E. Carraher, Charles U. Pittman, John E. Sheats, Martel Zeldin. The paper overviews iron-containing polymers prepared by controlled “living” ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP). Developments in the design and synthesis of this class of organometallic polymers are highlighted, pinpointing methodologies and newest trends in advanced applications of hybrid materials based on polymers functionalized with iron by: Metal-Containing Polymers for High-Performance Resist Applications Published in Macromolecules Containing Metal and Metal-Like Elements: Organoiron Polymers, - Cited by: 2.

Interest in organometallic macromolecules has grown exponentially ever since Arimoto and Haven first polymerized vinylferrocene in [1].

Organometallic polymers are known to possess unique optical, magnetic, and thermal properties which allow for potential applications as chemical sensors, electrocatalysts, modified electrodes, and photo-active molecular devices [2–7].Author: Alaa S.
